Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe Care Bespoke are looking for compassionate, dedicated, enthusiastic and flexible Children’s Support Workers to join our team in the North East. This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with a range of emotional, behavioural, and social needs, helping the achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential. As a Children’s Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where young people can thrive. This is an agency role as we currently have adhoc shifts or more longer term bookings.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
*Build positive and trusting relationships
*Support daily routines, including education, social activities, and independent living skills.
*Promote emotional wellbeing, confidence, and personal development.
*Maintain accurate records and complete reports as required.
*Safeguard and protect the welfare of children and young people at all times.
*Support children with challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies.
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience working with children and young people.
*A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately to challenging situations.
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
*Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins where required.
*Full UK Driving Licence preferred but not essential.
Qualifications
*NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce, Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care, or equivalent is desirable.
*Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one).
