A growing and commercially driven leading global financial services provider is looking to appoint a Financial Business Analyst to support senior decision-makers with high-quality analysis, modelling and business insight.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, data and strategy, offering the opportunity to influence key commercial decisions across the business. It would suit an professional with strong analytical capability who enjoys looking beyond the numbers to understand what is driving business performance.
For candidates coming from practice, this represents an excellent first or second move into industry. Equally, those already working within commercial finance, FP&A or business analysis environments will find plenty of scope to develop and progress.
What you’ll be doing*Producing detailed financial and commercial analysis to support strategic decision-making
*Building robust financial models for forecasting, budgeting and scenario planning
*Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards to improve business visibility
*Analysing revenue, profitability, costs and operational performance across multiple business areas
*Supporting annual budgeting and regular forecasting cycles
*Identifying trends, risks and opportunities through data-driven analysis
*Partnering with stakeholders across finance and operational teams to improve performance
*Presenting findings and recommendations to senior management
*Supporting investment appraisals, business cases and ad hoc strategic projects
*Driving improvements in reporting, data quality and analytical processes
What we’re looking for*Strong financial analysis and commercial modelling experience
*Advanced Excel skills
*Strong Power BI experience is essential
*Experience working with large datasets and translating data into actionable insight
*Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
*Naturally inquisitive with the ability to challenge and investigate business performance
*Previous exposure to SQL would be advantageous
*Background within accountancy practice, FP&A, commercial finance or financial analysis environments
