Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a confident and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to work within a specialist SEN provision in the Bridgend area.
This is a rewarding yet highly challenging role, supporting pupils with complex behavioural needs. The position will primarily involve working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 learners, so prior experience with older students and managing challenging behaviour is essential.
Key Responsibilities:*Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and additional learning needs
*Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours effectively and safely
*Support students in accessing their education and promoting positive outcomes
*Work closely with teaching staff and wider support teams
*Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Ideal Candidate:*Confident, resilient, and able to remain calm under pressure
*Experienced in working with challenging behaviours (essential)
*Strong behaviour management skills
*Experience within SEN or alternative provisions (desirable)
*Passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential
