Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with a well-established business on the outskirts of Ipswich to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to the team.The successful candidate will contribute to core finance processes, including transactional duties and regular reporting, while assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the department.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist with the preparation of regular financial reporting, including:
*Monthly management accounts
*Weekly performance reporting

*Support month-end activities such as accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
*Contribute to budget monitoring and basic variance analysis
*Assist with cash flow monitoring and forecasting
*Process supplier invoices and support purchase ledger activities
*Raise sales invoices and assist with accounts receivable processes
*Support credit control and allocation of incoming payments
*Assist with payment runs and bank reconciliations
*Maintain accurate financial records
Skills & Experience
*Experience supporting month-end processes, including reporting, accruals, and prepayments
*Exposure to purchase ledger, sales ledger, and credit control
*Experience dealing with management accounts is essential
*Strong numerical ability with a high level of attention to detail
*Well organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
*Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
*AAT Level 3 (or working towards) or equivalent experience
