We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established company in Wigan who are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience who wants to develop their career and become an integral part of a busy finance function.
The Role
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will be involved in a variety of accounting duties, helping to ensure the smooth running of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
*Processing sales invoices and maintaining accurate records
*Bank reconciliations
*Assisting with credit control and customer account management
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
*Supporting month-end accounting processes
*Handling finance-related queries from suppliers and customers
*Supporting the wider finance team with administrative duties
*Maintaining high levels of accuracy across all financial transactions
About You
*Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Accounts Administrator or similar role
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Excellent communication skills
*Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
*Positive, proactive and willing-to-learn attitude
