The Role of a Sales & Marketing Director
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead the sales and marketing function end-to-end, setting the strategic direction while ensuring strong operational delivery.
This is a hands-on leadership role as the Sales & Marketing Director where success will be defined by your ability to build a high-performing team, drive consistent revenue growth, and deliver commercial excellence.
You will lead:
*4 Area Sales Managers
*2 Internal Account Managers
*Marketing Manager
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership of the Sales & Marketing Director
*Define and execute the company’s sales and marketing strategy
*Identify new market opportunities and drive expansion
*Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to shape overall business direction
Team Leadership
*Build and lead a high-performance, accountable sales culture
*Coach, develop, and mentor the team to maximise performance
*Drive structure, clarity, and engagement across the function
Commercial Performance
*Own revenue, margin, and overall sales performance
*Implement robust KPIs, forecasting, and pipeline management
*Optimise pricing, conversion rates, and key account growth
Business Growth
*Expand presence across commercial, industrial, and events sectors
*Strengthen key client relationships and partnerships
*Support both UK and international growth initiatives
About You
We are seeking a commercially driven Sales & Marketing Directorwho combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.
You will bring:
*Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role
*A track record of delivering revenue growth and team performance
*Experience within manufacturing, construction, engineering, or project-led environments
