We’re hiring for a Trainee Business Development Manager / Sales Executive role with a growing and successful freight forwarding company in Basildon. What you’ll be doing
Making outbound sales calls and following up on inbound enquiries
Speaking to potential new customers and identifying new business opportunities
Building and managing your own sales pipeline
Learning how to sell freight forwarding and logistics solutions
Understanding customer needs and turning conversations into business
Handling objections confidently and professionally
Researching customers, markets and new opportunities
Working closely with your manager and team to develop deals and win new business
What we’re looking for
Some previous telesales, lead generation or targeted sales experience
A confident and motivated communicator who enjoys speaking to people
Someone ambitious, driven and hungry to build a career in sales
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Resilience, self-motivation and a target-focused mindset
Good communication skills and a professional approach
Logistics or freight sales experience is helpful, but not essential
