An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a well-established business in a key finance role.
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the month-end process and play a central role in ensuring robust financial control across the organisation. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a high-volume environment while driving continuous improvement and supporting operational teams


The Role
Key Responsibilities*Own the month-end close process
*Prepare management accounts with supporting analysis
*Maintain full responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and controls
*Manage the fixed asset register
*Support and coordinate the external audit process
*Handle complex reconciliations, including online sales and VAT-related items
*Act as a key finance contact for queries and problem-solving
*Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight
*Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
*Support wider finance team activities and continuous improvement initiatives

The Person
*Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or finalist
*Strong experience in management accounting and month-end processes
*Experience working in high-volume, transactional environments (multi-site, retail or distribution advantageous)
*Advanced Excel and strong systems/ERP experience
*Confident communicator with the ability to engage across the business
*Proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused
