*Location: Bromley
*Hours: Part-time
*Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
*Start Date: ASAP
The focus of this role is to re-engage young people with learning, build emotional resilience, and develop essential functional and life skills in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver bespoke intervention sessions that support emotional wellbeing, resilience, and re-engagement
*Build a consistent, trusting relationship with the young person
*Implement self-regulation strategies and promote positive behaviour and confidence
*Collaborate with families and professionals to ensure cohesive support
*Track and report progress in both emotional development and engagement
Requirements
*Experience with SEMH or similar behavioural/emotional needs
*Ability to build rapport quickly and create a safe learning space
*Calm, nurturing, patient approach to managing behaviour and emotional dysregulation
*Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Desirable Experience
*Youth work or PRU background
*Training in de-escalation (Team Teach, MAPA, etc.)
*Knowledge of restorative practice and trauma-informed approaches
