£42,000 – £44,000
Locations – Margate, Ashford & Canterbury (static roles)
We are currently recruiting for Mechanical Engineers to join established estates teams supporting a multi-site healthcare portfolio across East Kent.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a wide range of mechanical systems. The position offers a mix of planned and reactive work, as well as involvement in small projects and system improvements.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Diagnosing and resolving faults across mechanical plant and systems including HVAC, AHUs, boilers, water systems and associated equipment
*Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding to reactive maintenance requests
*Supporting compliance activity in line with statutory regulations and internal standards
*Assisting with installations, upgrades and minor project works
*Working closely with maintenance managers and wider estates teams to ensure effective service delivery
*Supporting incident response and ensuring minimal disruption across sites
About you:
*Qualified in a mechanical discipline (City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent)
*Strong experience working on mechanical systems within a complex environment (ideally healthcare or similar)
*Confident fault-finding and problem-solving across a range of plant and equipment
*Good understanding of compliance, health & safety and maintenance procedures
Additional benefits:
*Holiday entitlement: 26 days (rising to 28 days after 3 years’ service)
*Pension matched up to 8% contribution
