SEN TeacherProspero Teaching is working with a specialist SEMH provision in the Farnborough area to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher (QTS) for a September start. This is a permanent opportunity within a supportive and structured setting designed to meet the needs of pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
In this role, you will teach KS3-aged pupils following a primary-style curriculum, adapting learning to suit individual needs and focusing on both academic progress and emotional development. The setting prioritises relationship-building, consistency, and creating a safe environment where students can re-engage with education.
This is a highly rewarding position for teachers who are passionate about SEN and want to make a meaningful impact.
The Role:*Deliver a primary curriculum to KS3 pupils within an SEMH setting
*Plan and deliver structured, differentiated lessons
*Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour needs
*Build strong, consistent relationships with students
*Create a calm, safe, and supportive learning environment
*Work closely with teaching assistants and pastoral teams
*Track pupil progress and adapt approaches accordingly
*Promote engagement, confidence, and independence
*Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Experience teaching primary or KS3 pupils
*Strong interest in working within an SEMH or SEN setting
*Confident behaviour management and de-escalation skills
*Patient, resilient, and adaptable teaching approach
*Able to differentiate learning effectively
*Committed to supporting pupils’ emotional and academic development

*Working Pattern: Full-time
*Contract Type: Permanent
*Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
*Key Stage: KS3 (Primary Curriculum)
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:*QTS required
*SEMH or SEN experience strongly beneficial
*Safeguarding training can be provided
