Carnforth
32.5 hours per week, September Start, temp-to-perm position
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Carnforth from September on a full-time basis.
This welcoming and well-resourced school supports children and young people aged 2–19 years with a range of complex needs, including:
*Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
*Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
*Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with highly individualised learning needs. You will:
*Assist in delivering tailored learning and care plans
*Support students with communication, sensory, and personal care needs
*Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
*Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for individuals who are:
*Experienced in supporting children or young people with SEN, PMLD, or SLD(essential)
*Passionate about working with children with additional needs
*Reliable, caring, and patient
*Strong team players with a positive attitude
*Available full-time from September
*Hold a valid clear DBS on the update service, or are willing to obtain one prior to starting
Candidates with a background in care are strongly encouraged to apply
