We are recruiting on behalf of a business who are seeking a highly capable Credit Controller. They are looking for an individual who can make an immediate impact, handle a demanding workload, and bring prior experience with high-volume transactions. This role is office-based and offers a dynamic work environment where you will have full ownership of the sales ledger and support financial control processes.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
Sales Ledger (Primary Responsibility)
*Full ownership of the sales ledger.
*Monitor customer accounts and maintain accurate records.
*Chase outstanding debt and manage credit control processes.
*Resolve customer invoice queries professionally and efficiently.
*Allocate customer payments and reconcile accounts.
Purchase Ledger (Support)
*Process supplier invoices and ensure correct authorisation.
*Prepare supplier payment runs.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
*Maintain accurate purchase ledger records.
Financial Controller Support
*Assist with month-end close activities.
*Support bank reconciliations.
*Provide ad-hoc finance support and analysis as required.
*Support audits and financial reporting when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a Credit Controller or similar role.
*Strong ability to manage high-volume transactions.
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Proficient in using financial software, specifically Sage 200.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to resolve queries efficiently.
Working Hours:
*Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, fully office based.
