We are working on behalf of a forward-thinking and supportive secondary school to recruit a Pastoral Year Lead who will play a key role in shaping students’ daily experiences and long-term success.
The RoleAs a Pastoral Year Lead, you will be at the heart of student life, leading the pastoral care for a designated year group. You will create a positive, inclusive, and structured environment where students can flourish.
This is a highly rewarding position where you will:
*Lead on behaviour, attendance, wellbeing, and personal development
*Build strong, trusting relationships with students and families
*Act as a visible and approachable presence throughout the school day
*Identify trends and implement timely interventions to support student success
*Work closely with teaching staff, senior leaders, and external agencies
What We’re Looking For*Experience in pastoral care, student support, or a similar role
*Strong understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing
*Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills
*A calm, proactive, and solution-focused approach
*A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers and succeed
Working Pattern*37 hours per week, term time + 2 weeks (40 weeks total)
*Monday–Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
*Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
