Full job descriptionOrder Processing & Administrative Support Role
We are working with a client on an exclusive basis looking for a highly organised and detail-focused individual to join their team supporting both orders processing activities and providing administrative assistance.
This role plays an important part in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations by ensuring customer orders are handled accurately and efficiently, while also supporting administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background, excellent attention to detail, and some exposure to working in a finance or accounts environment.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing
*Accurately input and process customer orders using internal systems.
*Review order details thoroughly, ensuring correct pricing and customer information.
*Liaise with customers, sales teams, and internal departments to resolve queries.
*Monitor order progress to ensure deadlines and service levels are achieved.
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and order records.
Finance Administrative Support
*Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
*Assist with the input and organisation of supplier invoices within Sage.
*Support the recording of customer payments and maintenance of records.
*Ensure finance documentation is correctly stored and maintained in line with procedures.
General Administration
*Prepare reports and maintain internal records as required.
*Contribute to improving administrative processes and efficiency.
*Provide wider administrative support across the business when needed.
*Handle incoming calls and respond to enquiries in a professional manner.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
*Previous experience in an administrative or order processing role.
*Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
*Confidence working with numerical data.
*Experience using Sage 50 or similar systems, or a willingness to learn.
*Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
*Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks.
*Strong organisational and time management skills.
*Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
Desirable
*Experience providing administrative support within a finance or accounts function.
*Background in industries such as distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or service-based environments.
Additional Information
*Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (dependent on experience)
*Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Office based only
*Location: Due to the location of the role, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required
