*Salary: Up to £30,000
*Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
*Type: Full Time, Permanent
We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team, with a particular focus on the purchase ledger function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining accuracy and is looking to develop their finance career within a well-established organisation.
About the role:
Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will take ownership of day-to-day purchase ledger activities while also supporting wider transactional finance processes.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Processing high volumes of supplier invoices
*Matching, coding and posting invoices accurately
*Supplier statement reconciliations
*Resolving supplier queries and discrepancies
*Assisting with payment runs
*Managing supplier accounts and maintaining strong relationships
*Supporting month-end processes
*Assisting with other transactional finance duties as required
The ideal candidate will have:*Previous experience within a Finance Assistant or Purchase Ledger role
*Strong understanding of accounts payable processes
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*Confident working with finance systems and Excel
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Ability to manage workloads and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
*Positive, proactive approach with a willingness to support the wider finance team
