Northampton | Full-Time | MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Reed Education are working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Northampton to recruit a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Humanities faculty in a well-respected and forward-thinking school.
The Role
You will deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5 depending on experience.
The role will involve encouraging students to explore a range of religious, philosophical, and ethical topics, developing their critical thinking, respect for diversity, and ability to form reasoned arguments.
Curriculum Focus
The RE curriculum covers a range of topics, including:
*World religions and belief systems
*Ethics and philosophy (e.g. morality, justice, human rights)
*Social and cultural issues
*Religious practices, texts, and traditions
The Ideal Candidate
*QTS desirable but not essential
*Experience teaching Religious Education in a secondary school is essential
*Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
*Ability to engage students in discussion and debate
*Excellent classroom management skills
ECTs are welcome to apply, particularly those with strong RE teaching placements.
