A well-established and growing accountancy practice is seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join its friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to further develop their career within practice, working with a varied portfolio of clients whilst receiving ongoing training and professional development support.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities and work closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities*Preparation of statutory accounts for a variety of clients
*Assisting with the management of a client portfolio
*Preparation of management accounts
*Bookkeeping duties and maintenance of client records
*Preparation and submission of VAT returns
*Preparation of personal and partnership tax returns
*Supporting client queries and building strong client relationships
*Attending client meetings and liaising with business owners where appropriate
*Assisting with the development and support of junior team members
*General practice and administrative duties as required
About You*At least 2-3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment
*Currently studying towards AAT, ACA or ACCA, or qualified by relevant degree
*Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
*Excellent organisational and time management skills
*Strong communication skills and a professional approach to client interaction
*Proactive, self-motivated and eager to continue developing professionally
*Experience with cloud-based accounting software would be advantageous
