Responsible to: Head of PE
Purpose of the Role
To deliver high-quality PE lessons that inspire students to develop their physical skills, confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment of sport while promoting healthy lifestyles across the school.
Key Responsibilities*Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing effective feedback.
*Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
*Organise and support extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and school competitions.
*Contribute to curriculum development and work collaboratively within the PE department.
*Promote safeguarding, equality, and student wellbeing at all times.
Person Specification*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*Degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
*Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*Enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to raising student achievement and participation in sport.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
