Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
The Role
An established and growing manufacturing business within the food production sector is seeking a Fabrication Engineer to join its engineering team. This is a hands-on role focused on the design, development, and implementation of fabricated systems and solutions to support site operations.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption to production.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the fabrication and installation of engineered solutions, resolving issues during implementation
*Ensure all fabrication and installation work meets relevant industry and safety standards
*Work closely with production teams to minimise operational disruption during projects
*Deliver engineering projects as required by the management team
*Troubleshoot fabrication-related issues and implement effective corrective actions
*Conduct root cause analysis on defects and drive continuous improvement initiatives
*Promote and ensure adherence to safe working practices across site
About You
*Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
*Proven experience within fabrication or manufacturing engineering (typically 2–5+ years)
*Strong knowledge of fabrication processes such as welding and machining
*Experience within a food or FMCG environment is advantageous
*Excellent project management and organisational skills
*Strong analytical mindset with effective problem-solving abilities
