The RoleWe are recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant to join an award-winning laboratory in Witham on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in science who wants to gain hands-on laboratory experience with full training provided.
What You’ll Be Doing*Weigh analytical samples with a high degree of accuracy
*Prepare laboratory samples under the guidance of experienced Chemists
*Load and unload laboratory dishwashers
*Clean and maintain laboratory glassware and equipment
*Transport samples and materials between company sites using the company van
*Maintain a clean, safe and organised laboratory environment
*Follow laboratory procedures, quality standards and health & safety guidelines
*Report any issues or deviations to the Laboratory Supervisor
What We’re Looking For*Genuine interest in science and laboratory work
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*Well organised with the ability to work under pressure
*Computer literate
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Able to work with discretion and confidentiality
*Full UK driving licence essential
*Previous laboratory experience is not required - full training provided
