Full job descriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This vacancy has become available due to an internal promotion, reflecting the company’s commitment to developing and progressing its employees.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving plant reliability, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
This is a predominantly mechanical role (around 90%), so we’re looking for someone with a strong mechanical engineering background. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is highly desirable, along with a basic understanding of fault finding on control systems. You’ll be involved in maintaining and repairing a wide range of manufacturing equipment, ensuring the site continues to operate safely and efficiently.












Key Responsibilities
*Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
*Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
*Service, maintain and overhaul machinery
*Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
*Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
*Support continuous improvement and maintenance systems
*Ensure all work is completed in line with Health, Safety & Environmental standards
*Work proactively to minimise downtime and improve performance


About You
*Previous work experience in a similar maintenance role
*Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics & pneumatics
*Experience with fabrication and welding is desirable
*Positive, proactive and flexible approach


Working Hours
*Rotating 3-shift pattern (days, afternoons, nights)

*Afternoons: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
*Nights: 10:00pm - 6:00am
*" Friday (short shift):

*Afternoons: 11:00am - 6:00pm
*Nights: 6:00pm - 12:00am
40 hours per week
