Full job descriptionOur client, a freight forwarder is looking for a Freight Sales Executive to join their office in Basildon.
Role OverviewWe are seeking an ambitious, self-motivated Sales Executive to drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing strong customer relationships and promoting the clients comprehensive range of international freight forwarding services.
Key Responsibilities*Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals and lead generation.
*Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
*Sell import and export sea freight, air freight, customs clearance, warehousing and logistics solutions.
*Prepare quotations and negotiate profitable business.
*Achieve sales targets and KPIs.
*Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline and management reports.
*Support Operations during busy periods and ensure smooth customer handovers.
*Communicate effectively with customers, overseas agents and internal departments.
*Identify cross-selling opportunities and maximise customer retention.
Skills & Experience*Freight forwarding sales experience.
*Knowledge of import/export sea freight and air freight.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*Proven business development and relationship-building ability.
*Commercially aware and target driven.
*Knowledge of Incoterms and customs procedures desirable.
