Are you a qualified accountant in practice looking to move into industry?
Are you looking for part time hours and flexibility around how you work? But for that not to jeopardise your career?
If so, Campbell Grove Talent are working with a fantastic Harrogate based business, who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team, that could be perfect for you!
This is a great move into industry: solid, interesting management accounting work and a great manager. You’ll be joining a small, close-knit finance team where people genuinely look out for each other, and you’ll have real ownership over the monthly accounts process rather than just being a small cog.
What you’ll be doing:
*Putting together monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations
*Answering ad-hoc questions from advisers, explaining the numbers in plain English
*Looking after departmental paperwork, including dividend documents and company secretarial bits
*Stepping in to cover other tasks when colleagues are off on holiday or studying
*Supporting and managing junior team members, checking their work and helping them grow
What you’ll bring:
*A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience
*A background working for an established accountancy practice.
*A calm head under deadline pressure and the ability to juggle a few things at once
*The confidence to explain financial info to people who aren’t finance people
*Some experience mentoring or reviewing junior staff, or an interest in getting into that
*A comfortable user of Excel and accounting systems
