Group Financial Reporting Manager

Full job descriptionThis is a strong opportunity for a practice trained qualified accountant to expand their expertise across group reporting, technical accounting, and financial analysis within a fast-growing international business. The company is seeking a proactive, adaptable professional who can contribute immediately while developing into a broader finance leadership role over time. The position offers exposure to senior stakeholders, private equity reporting, statutory reporting, and finance transformation initiatives.
The RoleThe role focuses on three key areas:
Group Reporting & Consolidation
*Support monthly group consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
*Prepare management reports, including balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis, and commentary for senior management.
*Validate financial data from the ERP system and collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure reporting accuracy.
*Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reporting packs.
Statutory, Audit & Investor Reporting
*Prepare statutory reporting schedules, disclosures, and reconciliations under IFRS and UK GAAP.
*Support technical accounting assessments and documentation for complex transactions.
*Assist with external audits through preparation of audit files and responses to auditor queries.
*Contribute to board and investor reporting, providing financial analysis and performance insights.
Controls & Continuous Improvement
*Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and reporting systems.
*Support finance transformation projects and broader business initiatives.
*Undertake ad hoc analysis and projects as required by the Group Financical Controller.
The CandidateThe ideal candidate is a practice trained qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience and a strong background in group reporting within a multi-entity or international environment.
Key Requirements
*Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and consolidated financial reporting.
*Experience preparing management accounts, financial analysis, and audit deliverables.
*Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP finance systems.
*Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
*Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work with stakeholders across different regions and functions.
*Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Experience
*Exposure to private equity-backed, high-growth, or international businesses.
*Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting and business intelligence tools.
*A continuous improvement mindset and ambition to take on increasing responsibility as the business grows.
