Full job descriptionPurchase Ledger Clerk required who can take ownership of the day?to?day processing of supplier and subcontractor invoices and support smooth payment cycles across the business. You’ll be part of a supportive finance team and work closely with colleagues across multiple departments. This role would suit a career Purchase Ledger Clerk who loves it.

What You’ll Be Doing

*Processing invoices - matching delivery notes, purchase orders and ensuring everything is accurate and on time
*Reconciling supplier statements each month to keep accounts tidy and up to date
*Preparing payment runs for management approval
*Resolving invoice queries with suppliers and subcontractors
*Maintaining supplier accounts and setting up new details in the ledger
*Managing filing - both printed and digital
*Supporting year?end and audits when required
*Helping with archiving and general admin tasks
*Processing staff expenses and company credit card receipts

Experience

*At least 2 years’ experience in a purchase ledger role
*Strong working knowledge of accounting systems (Sage or similar) and Excel
*A methodical, accurate, detail?driven approach
*A friendly, flexible attitude and confidence dealing with colleagues and suppliers
*Smart, professional presentation and the resilience to manage a busy ledger
