Description
*Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements.
*Support the accounting team with day-to-day financial tasks.
*Help ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
*Contribute to the development and maintenance of accurate financial records.
*Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
*Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support projects.
*Assist in budget preparation and monitoring processes.
*Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
Profile
A successful Work Placement - Finance should have:
*A strong interest in accounting and finance within the public sector.
*Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
*The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
*A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
*Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Job Offer
*Salary £25,333.33
*33 days of annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays, all pro-rata’d.
*A 35-hour work week to support work-life balance.
*Reimbursement for travel expenses, including parking or rail station costs, up to £8 per day in Cardiff.
