We’re recruiting an Assistant Librarian to join a thriving school environment – a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on student learning and engagement.
Working alongside the School Librarian, you’ll play a vital role in delivering an efficient, welcoming and inspiring library service to both students and staff.
You will:
*Manage issuing and returning of library stock
*Catalogue and prepare new resources for use
*Support students in accessing online and physical materials
*Run the overdue system and maintain library organisation
*Promote reading through engaging library activities
*Supervise students and support a positive library environment
*Assist with the library management system and stock control
You’ll also step in to cover the Librarian when required, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
This is the perfect role for someone who is:

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Passionate about education, literacy, and student support

Confident working independently and as part of a team

Skilled in engaging young people and managing behaviour positively
