Job RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Pontefract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving site that invests heavily in its people and equipment, offering excellent training, job security and long-term career progression.
Working a Panama days and nights shift pattern, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of manufacturing machinery, ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum while driving continuous improvement across the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer*Recognised engineering qualification
*Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
*Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
*Ability to work a Panama days and nights shift pattern
Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer*Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
*Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly and efficiently
*Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
*Complete maintenance records accurately
*Work closely with production to maximise machine uptime
*Contribute to continuous improvement projects
*Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer*Multi-skilled maintenance experience
*Experience working with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics or pneumatics
*PLC fault-finding experience
*Experience within an automated factory
