The OpportunityIN2 Consult are supporting a well-established organisation within the property sector in their search for an experienced Management Accountant / Treasury Accountant to join their finance team on an initial six-month contract.
Reporting to the Treasury Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, strengthening financial controls and helping the business through an ongoing finance systems transition.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working through complex reconciliations, improving processes and investigating data issues within a changing finance environment.
Key Responsibilities*Support the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
*Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations across treasury-related accounts.
*Investigate and resolve legacy data issues arising from the migration to a new finance system.
*Reconcile loan balances between legacy systems and the new ERP.
*Review and correct intercompany loan balances and interest postings.
*Investigate and resolve issues with funder codes and migrated master data.
*Improve financial controls and enhance treasury accounting processes.
*Work closely with the Treasury Accounting Manager to streamline month-end activities and improve team efficiency.
*Review accruals and treasury accounting journals to ensure completeness and accuracy.
*Support the cleansing, validation and reconciliation of migrated financial data.
*Assist with the accounting for a significant loan portfolio and associated financing costs.
*Collaborate with a small finance team to manage priorities during busy reporting periods.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will be a proactive finance professional who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working with complex data.
You will ideally have:
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be qualified by experience).
*Strong financial accounting and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
*Previous treasury accounting experience.
*Understanding of Treasury Management Systems (TMS).
*Experience working with Workday Finance (highly desirable).
*Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets.
*Experience supporting finance system migrations or ERP implementations.
*Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail.
*Experience accounting for loans, interest accruals and intercompany transactions.
*A hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
