Full job descriptionRobert Half is recruiting for an experienced Accounting Business Analyst to join a client’s Finance team in West Leeds on an initial 6-month contract.
This role will focus on defining and refining requirements for the accounting business layer, working closely with finance stakeholders to ensure data solutions are robust, insightful, and fit for purpose.
Working as part of a cross-functional team of engineers, testers, tech lead, and product owner, you will translate finance needs into clear, actionable requirements and help deliver scalable solutions that improve on existing processes.
Key responsibilities
*Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from finance stakeholders
*Use business analytic systems to help define reporting and dashboard requirements
*Challenge requests to identify true business needs
*Act as the link between finance users and the technical delivery team
*Support solution design, backlog prioritisation, demos, and UAT
*Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide updates to the Head of Finance Data
About you
*Proven Business Analyst experience in a finance or accounting environment
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Experience with Power Bi / Tableau or similar reporting tools
*Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
*Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams


This role requires 3 days per week on site in West Leeds.
