Your new role
We are recruiting for a Civils Foreman to join a major highways scheme involving roundabout improvements and the construction of a new 10-mile dual carriageway. You will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the project by overseeing site operations and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
*Supervise and coordinate site teams and subcontractors
*Oversee pipejacking operations, ensuring alignment, safety and programme targets are met
*Manage installation of drainage systems, including sedimentation tanks and associated infrastructure
*Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
*Plan and manage daily site activities in line with the programme
*Allocate labour, plant and materials effectively
*Monitor progress and report on performance, risks and issues
*Ensure adherence to method statements, risk assessments and permit systems
*Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure specifications are met
*Liaise with engineers and management to resolve technical and operational challenges
*Support and mentor operatives, promoting a positive safety culture
What you’ll need to succeed
*Experience as a Foreman or Supervisor on highways projects
*Strong understanding of highway construction, including earthworks, drainage, structures and surfacing
*SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
*CSCS card at Supervisor level or above
*Highways Passport
