Assistant Accountant Southport | Full-time/Permenant | Hybrid working
Accountable Recruitment are partnering with a large, well-established organisation to recruit a commercially focused Assistant Accountant to join their team.

The RoleAs Assistant Accountant, you will play a key part in driving financial performance, ensuring accurate reporting, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
*Preparing and posting month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments
*Analysing financial performance, providing insight, challenge, and recommendations
*Completing balance sheet reconciliations, explaining variances and risks
*Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
*Partnering with stakeholders to understand cost drivers and business performance
*Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, controls, and efficiency
The Ideal Candidate*Previous experience in a fast-paced finance environment
*Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
*Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders
*Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
*Strong Excel and general IT skills
*Motivated to develop within finance (study support available)
*A proactive and commercially minded approach
