Full job descriptionWe are seeking a Machine Operator / Electron Beam Welding Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on precision welding projects, contributing to high-quality production standards. Applicants must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to develop their technical expertise
Responsibilities
*Operate electron beam welding machinery with precision to produce high-quality welds on high end materials for Aerospace and Autosport industries etc
*Set up and calibrate welding equipment according to specifications and technical drawings.
*Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to assist in fabrication and assembly processes.
*Interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate production.
*Perform routine maintenance and inspections on welding equipment to ensure optimal operation.
*Maintain a clean and organised work area adhering to health and safety standards.
*Assist in the development and improvement of fabrication processes through mechanical knowledge and practical input.
Experience
*Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
*Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control assessments.
*Experience with assembly processes and working from technical drawings or schematics is desirable.
*Previous exposure to working within a manufacturing or fabrication environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates eager to learn.
