Our client is a well-established and growing independent accountancy practice with a strong reputation supporting SME and owner-managed businesses. The firm works closely with clients across a broad range of sectors, providing hands-on audit, accounts and advisory services. With a focus on building long-term relationships, the team offers exposure to varied engagements, from sole traders through to corporate audit assignments.


Description
*Lead audit assignments for SMEs, owner-managed businesses and group structures from planning through to completion
*Deliver statutory audits alongside accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
*Act as a key point of contact for clients, developing strong and trusted relationships
*Prepare and review financial statements in line with UK GAAP
*Support clients with day-to-day queries, providing practical and commercial advice
*Supervise and review work prepared by junior staff, providing guidance and technical support
*Assist with corporation tax computations and compliance work
*Manage multiple client deadlines, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance
*Support managers and partners on more complex audit and advisory assignments


Profile
*ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
*Strong background in audit within practice, with exposure to SMEs and OMB clients
*Experience leading audits and managing client relationships
*Good technical knowledge across audit, accounts preparation and compliance
*Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
*Organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
*Experience with sole traders and smaller business clients advantageous
