I am delighted to exclusively bring to market a brand new Commercial Finance Manager opportunity working for a proudly independent Yorkshire FMCG/manufacuring SME!

This is a business that has built its reputation on doing things the right way, and they bring that same philosophy to their people..

This is a genuinely high-impact role being the "face of finance" in a standalone, newly created and purely commercial role, working alongside the Financial Controller and reporting directly into the CFO.

You won’t be a number-cruncher in the background, you’ll be a trusted commercial FP&A business partner, sitting at the heart of strategic decision-making.

Think pricing, margin analysis, financial modelling, budgeting, and presenting insight that shapes the future direction of the business.

With further growth plans, new revenue streams, and a focus on improving data and developing new processes/systems, this is a CV defining opportunity for the right person!

Reporting directly to the CFO the duties of this role will include:
*Engaging closely with commercial, sales and account management teams to support bids, tenders, pricing decisions, contract negotiations and promotional activity.
*Lead the commercial elements of the annual budget and regular forecasting cycles, covering revenue by channel margin, cost to serve and key trading KPIs.
*Build and maintain robust financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision making
*Development and ownership of medium-term strategic model.
*Oversee the production and development of commercial dashboards and management information for senior leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable insight.
*Present monthly commercial performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities and proposed next steps.
*Ensure strong financial controls surrounding commercial processes
*Finance lead on commercial projects including major contract negotiations, new business proposals, organic, and inorganic growth.

The ideal candidate will:
*Be fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA - Essential
*Have extensive experience in commercial finance, with a focus on decision support, pricing and profitability analysis - Essential
*Have strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance reporting and advanced skills in Excel and financial/BI systems - Essential
*Have experience in a FMCG/Manufacturing - Highly desirable
*Have familiarity with contract-based or recurring revenue models - Desirable
*Have exposure to acquisitions, integrations or transformation projects - Desirable
