Full job descriptionPositive Employment is currently recruiting for a Property Partner for our client, a government organisation in Bristol.
This role is a permanent contract. No requirement to be in office on regular basis just as and when required (no more than 2 days per week, and sometimes weeks without needing to be on site)
Must be RICS Qualified.
The successful post holder will act as the strategic link between services and the Property Division, providing expert advice on all aspects of property asset management to maximise asset performance, drive rationalisation and cost reduction, and support the effective delivery of services across this organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:*Act as the key strategic liaison between services and the Property Division, ensuring property solutions align with corporate and service objectives.
*Provide professional property advice across a broad range of asset management matters to support efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
*Work with the Asset Strategy Manager and service leads to develop and implement Service Asset Management Plans.
*Translate strategic service objectives into practical and sustainable property solutions.
*Review, evaluate and implement property initiatives to maximise asset utilisation and improve operational efficiency.
*Lead and support a range of property transactions, negotiations and asset management activities.
*Identify opportunities for property rationalisation, cost reduction and service improvement across this organisation’s estate.
*Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, public sector organisations and the voluntary sector to support collaborative asset management initiatives.
*Represent this organisation in legal, public and partnership settings as required.
*Work collaboratively across organisational boundaries to develop and deliver multi-agency property solutions.
*Provide strategic property advice taking into account regional economic factors, property market conditions and wider business needs.
*Supervise, support and develop technical staff, promoting effective team working and high professional standards.
*Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative approaches to complex property and asset management challenges.
*Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and equality and diversity principles.
Personal Requirements:Essential:
*RICS qualified with a property-related qualification and significant experience delivering proactive property management within a large and complex organisation.
*Proven experience in strategic property asset management and developing property solutions that support service delivery.
*Excellent negotiation, influencing and advocacy skills, with the ability to complete a range of complex property transactions.
*Ability to think strategically, develop solutions and translate plans into effective action.
*Demonstrable experience applying innovative and analytical approaches to solving complex property and business challenges.
*Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to gain the confidence and commitment of partners and service areas.
*Experience representing an organisation in legal, public or partnership settings.
*Ability to work collaboratively across the public sector to deliver multi-organisational solutions.
*Strong understanding of business needs, regional economic factors and the property market.
*Experience managing and supervising technical staff and leading teams effectively.
*Good understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion principles.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel, with an understanding of property data systems and geographical information systems.
Desirable:
*Extensive knowledge and experience in the management of public sector property portfolios.
*Strong understanding of local government operations and experience working within a politically sensitive environment.
*Experience working with committees, elected members and senior stakeholders within local government.
Working Hours:36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Pay:£51,356.00 per annum + Benefits
