Our client, one of the South’s leading providers of premium serviced office space, with multiple award-winning business centres across the South of England. They are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Receptionist/Assistant Centre Manager to join their flagship business centre in Ferndown.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a customer service, hospitality, serviced office, reception, hotel, office management or business support background who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment where no two days are the same.
Working closely with the Centre Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre, delivering a five-star customer experience while supporting office operations, facilities management and administration.
The Role
As Receptionist/Assistant Centre Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring clients receive an exceptional experience from the moment they walk through the door.
Your responsibilities will include:
Customer Service & Client Experience
*Acting as the first point of contact for clients, visitors and contractors
*Delivering an exceptional five-star customer experience
*Building strong relationships with clients and their teams
*Handling enquiries professionally by telephone, email and face-to-face
*Providing a warm, welcoming and professional reception service
Centre Operations
*Supporting the daily running of the business centre
*Ensuring offices, meeting rooms and communal areas are maintained to the highest standard
*Coordinating client move-ins and move-outs
*Managing incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
*Maintaining kitchens, refreshments and shared facilities
*Ensuring the centre is always client-ready
Facilities & Building Support
*Assisting with planned and reactive maintenance
*Liaising with contractors and suppliers
*Reporting building issues promptly
*Supporting Health & Safety compliance
*Helping maintain a safe and professional working environment
Administration
*Updating CRM and client records
*Producing occupancy and operational reports
*Supporting general office administration
*Assisting with invoicing and business administration where required
Community & Events
*Supporting networking events and client engagement activities
*Helping create a vibrant business community
*Delivering an exceptional customer journey that encourages long-term client retention
About You
To be successful in this role you will be passionate about customer service and enjoy working in a busy, varied environment.
You’ll ideally have experience in one or more of the following:
*Customer Service
*Front of House
*Serviced Offices
*Business Centres
*Hospitality
*Hotel Reception
*Office Management
*Reception
*Business Support
*Facilities Coordination
*Retail Management
You will also possess:
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*A confident and professional telephone manner
*Strong organisational and time management skills
*Excellent attention to detail
*The ability to manage multiple priorities
*A proactive, positive and flexible attitude
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
