KS2 Teaching Assistant | Full Time | Primary School | Amersham, Buckinghamshire | September 2026
Experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant required for a full-time role in a friendly primary school. Full academic year with permanent opportunity available.
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-established one-form entry primary school in Amersham, Buckinghamshire to recruit an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant for the 2026/27 academic year.
The school has a reputation for providing a calm, inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to become confident, independent learners. Staff work collaboratively, behaviour expectations are consistent, and leaders place a strong emphasis on wellbeing for both children and colleagues. Although experience supporting Key Stage 2 is preferred, applicants with strong EYFS or KS1 experience who can demonstrate adaptability are encouraged to apply.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, beginning in September 2026 and continuing for the full academic year, with the potential to become a permanent appointment for the right person.
The Role:
Working closely with class teachers, you will provide classroom support while aiding pupils reach their individual learning goals. The successful candidate will build positive relationships with children, contribute to an engaging classroom environment and provide targeted support where required.
Responsibilities include:
*Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.
*Delivering small group and individual intervention sessions.
*Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
*Preparing learning resources alongside teaching staff.
*Promoting positive behaviour and classroom routines.
*Working collaboratively with teachers and parents where appropriate.
About You:
To be considered you should have:
*Previous experience working within a primary school.
*Experience supporting Key Stage 2, or transferable EYFS/KS1 experience.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*A proactive and organised approach.
*A genuine commitment to supporting children’s learning and development.
