Payroll & Pensions Specialist
Location: Ipswich Hybrid
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £28k-£32k doe
We are seeking for an experienced Payroll & Pensions Specialist to join our friendly and professional Payroll and Pensions team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and high-quality payroll and pension services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage a portfolio of end-to-end monthly payrolls
*Ensure payrolls are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines
*Administer pension processing including Auto Enrolment, AVCs, Local Government and Teacher Pension Schemes.
*Process pension joiners, leavers, transfers, retirements, and in-service changes
*Reconcile payroll and pension data and produce accurate reports
*Liaise with HMRC, pension providers, finance teams, and other stakeholders
*Investigate and resolve complex payroll and pension queries
*Support audits, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
*Proven experience in payroll processing and pension administration
*Strong knowledge of LGPS and Teachers’ Pension Scheme (highly desirable)
*Experience using payroll systems (iTrent knowledge highly desirable)
*Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
*High attention to detail and strong Excel skills
*CIPP qualification (desirable)
