Full job descriptionTelecoms Engineer | 6 Month contract | Onsite in Exeter | £350-£375 InsideIR35
Key responsibilities:
*Fault-find and repair analogue telephony systems across operational sites
*Diagnose issues related to PSTN/PSDN lines and support migration away from legacy services
*Configure, troubleshoot and replace Cisco switches
*Support structured cabling work (Cat5/6), patching and cabinet tidying
*Audit telecoms infrastructure at each site and document findings
*Liaise with site managers to plan outages and ensure minimal operational disruption
*Work with internal IT/OT teams to ensure network resilience
*Update asset records and report progress on remediation work
*Knowledge of SIP migration or VoIP gateways
