A welcoming and well-established nursery in Wickford is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Room Leader to lead their 3-4-year-old room on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early years professional to join a friendly and supportive team. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the preschool room, ensuring children receive outstanding care while delivering engaging learning experiences that support their development through the EYFS framework.

Key Responsibilities*Lead the daily running of the 3-4-year-old room

*Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS Framework

*Support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing

*Lead, motivate, and support Early Years Practitioners within the room

*Build positive relationships with parents and carers

*Complete observations, assessments, and learning journals

*Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times

RequirementsEssential:
*Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or above)

*Previous experience working within an Early Years setting

*Experience leading a room or supervising staff

*Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework

*Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable:
*Paediatric First Aid qualification

*Experience preparing children for transition into Reception

*A positive, enthusiastic, and nurturing approach
