IntroductionWe are recruiting for an experienced Inventory Controller to join a growing manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in inventory control, stores, logistics or production planning who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As the Inventory Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate management and traceability of inventory, from production components through to finished goods. You will oversee the day-to-day operation of the stores function, maintain inventory accuracy through the ERP system, and coordinate the movement of goods in and out of the business.
Key DutiesProduction & Inventory Control
*Manage and maintain store locations and inventory accuracy.

*Ensure manufacturing orders are completed and closed correctly.

*Scan production route cards to maintain full product traceability.

*Transfer stock using the ERP system.

*Monitor stock levels and identify shortages or production demand trends.

*Carry out weekly stock counts and investigate inventory variances.

*Raise stock adjustments where required.

*Work closely with the purchasing team to replenish production parts.

*Liaise with department managers to resolve inventory issues.

*Maintain organised storage locations and ensure finished goods are available for dispatch.

Goods In & Goods Out
*Receive and unload incoming deliveries safely using appropriate handling equipment.

*Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and complete receipt documentation.

*Record all goods movements accurately using the ERP system and SharePoint.

*Verify quantities against delivery documentation.

*Prepare, pack and label finished products for shipment.

*Coordinate daily collections with logistics providers.

*Send shipping documentation to the Byfleet site.

*Load outbound deliveries using lifting equipment and forklift trucks where required.

General Duties
*Support other stores and warehouse activities as required.

*Participate in cross-training to provide operational flexibility.

*Maintain high housekeeping standards using 5S principles.

*Follow all Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Requirements*Previous experience within inventory control, stores, logistics or production planning.

*Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

*Experience using ERP systems.

*Good Microsoft Excel skills.

*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

*The ability to investigate stock discrepancies and resolve inventory issues.

*Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.

*A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.

What We Offer*£32,000 per annum.

*Full-time, permanent position.

*Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 4:00pm.

*Friday, 7:30am - 1:00pm.
