In this pivotal role, you will be the dedicated point of contact for customers embarking on their payroll journey, guiding them through every step with care and professionalism
As a Payroll Onboarding Consultant based in Manchester, you will play an integral role in welcoming new clients onto the payroll platform. Your day-to-day activities will involve orchestrating smooth transitions from previous providers by planning each onboarding project with precision. You will serve as the primary liaison for clients-answering queries, providing updates, and ensuring they feel supported at every stage.


Speciufic duties include:


*Plan and execute customer onboarding projects for payroll services efficiently, ensuring all milestones are met within agreed timelines.
*Act as the main point of contact for clients during their transition period, delivering exceptional customer service and building positive relationships.
*Balance all payroll onboarding data accurately by reviewing static data, cumulative year-to-date balances, and comparing previous payment submissions.
*Clearly explain the onboarding process to customers through regular project sessions and timely update meetings, ensuring transparency at every stage.
*Complete data migration documents thoroughly and check all information meticulously during data gathering and loading processes.
*Assist with processing parallel runs to ensure all results align with those from previous payroll providers, maintaining accuracy throughout.
*Manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously by prioritising tasks based on client needs and business objectives.
*Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information in line with company policies and industry standards.
To excel as a Payroll Onboarding Consultant, you will bring proven experience from roles involving customer onboarding-ideally within payroll or finance settings-where you have handled complex data migrations or reconciliations.
Ideally you will have experience in the following areas:
*Previous experience in customer onboarding within a payroll or finance-related role is highly desirable, especially if you have managed data loads, reconciliations, parallel runs or go-live authorisations.
*A solid understanding of UK payroll legislation and tax regulations is essential for success in this position.
*Familiarity with SaaS platforms is advantageous; ideally you will also have some awareness of HR or payroll systems functionality.
*Basic project management abilities are important for juggling multiple onboarding assignments effectively.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to keep clients informed and engaged throughout their journey.
*Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients while maintaining positive long-term relationships is vital.
