Full job descriptionWe are currently working with a Local Authority in the South West who are seeking a Finance Consultant - Transformation Programme Management to join their team:
This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale transformation programme, ensuring strategic objectives are translated into structured plans, effective governance and measurable outcomes. Working across multiple directorates, the postholder will coordinate stakeholders, manage programme delivery and drive the successful realisation of transformation benefits.

Working arrangement: 2 days per week on site
Duration: 1-2 years
Role Details
*Lead the mobilisation, planning and delivery of a complex, cross-directorate transformation programme.
*Oversee programme governance, including risk, issue, dependency, financial and benefits management.
*Translate strategic priorities into clear programme plans, governance structures and delivery milestones.
*Coordinate multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment, effective collaboration and timely delivery.
*Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing reporting, insight and decision-making support.
*Support the identification, development and prioritisation of transformation initiatives across specialist teams.
Requirements
*Extensive experience delivering large-scale transformation or programme management within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
*Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into structured delivery plans and successful outcomes.
*Strong programme management expertise, including governance, risk, financial and benefits management.
*Experience leading cross-functional teams and working collaboratively across organisational boundaries.
*Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, including engagement with senior leadership.
*Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments.
*Flexible approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive organisational change.
