Department: Finance
Reports To: Finance Manager / Financial Controller

Job Purpose

To ensure the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, employee expense claims, and payment transactions while maintaining strong financial controls and positive supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
*Process and verify supplier invoices and ensure correct coding and approval.
*Match invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes as applicable.
*Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs.
*Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
*Maintain accurate vendor records and account details.
*Respond to supplier and internal stakeholder queries in a professional and timely manner.
*Process employee expenses in line with company policies.
*Assist with month-end activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
*Monitor outstanding balances and support cash flow management.
*Support audits by providing requested documentation and information.
Skills & Experience
*Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance Assistant role.
*Good understanding of accounting principles and AP processes.
*Experience using ERP or finance systems (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
*Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
Qualifications
*AAT qualification or studying towards a professional accounting qualification (desirable).
*GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Mathematics and English.
