Description
Key Responsibilities:


*Commission and install low-voltage diesel generator systems and associated control equipment
*Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs across hire fleet and customer-owned equipment
*Diagnose electrical and control system faults
*Configure and test control systems including DSE and ComAp controllers
*Install ATS systems, synchronising equipment, and temporary power distribution systems
*Conduct load bank testing and system performance verification
*Provide on-site technical support and respond to breakdowns when required
*Complete commissioning and service documentation using digital systems
*Support installation teams and collaborate with project delivery teams
*Ensure all work is carried out in line with RAMS and health & safety requirements
Profile
The Successful Candidate:


*Electrically qualified via apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in power generation, commissioning, or electrical service roles
*Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilities
*Experience with generator control systems (DSE, ComAp or similar)
*Knowledge of ATS systems, synchronisation, and LV power distribution
*Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
*PLC experience or diagnostics knowledge advantageous
*Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
*Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-facing approach
