Full job descriptionTPF Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well-established and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Maidenhead with the recruitment of a Personal Tax Assistant Manager.

As a Personal Tax Assistant Manager, you’ll take responsibility for overseeing a varied portfolio of private clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality compliance services whilst assisting with advisory work. You’ll work closely with senior members of the tax team and play an active role in developing junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

*Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, including individuals, trusts and partnerships, ensuring compliance deadlines are met.

*Review personal tax returns prepared by junior members of the team, providing guidance and technical support where required.

*Prepare and oversee more complex personal tax returns and computations.

*Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for tax-related queries.

*Correspond with HMRC on behalf of clients and assist with resolving enquiries and technical matters.

*Identify tax planning opportunities and support the delivery of advisory projects.

*Coach, mentor and assist with the development of trainees and junior tax professionals.

*Collaborate with partners, managers and other professional advisers to provide a joined-up service to clients.



Requirements*ATT, ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualification (or be studying towards one).

*Previous experience within a personal tax team, ideally with some experience supervising or reviewing the work of others.

*Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax.

*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

*Strong communication skills and the confidence to build lasting client relationships.

*A proactive, team-oriented approach with a genuine interest in supporting junior staff.
