Full job description Do you like a challenge? If so we are looking for a Maternity Cover Waking Night Support Worker that is confident, outgoing, fun and resilient to join our Lunedale Road supported living team. The service users require staff who are able to adapt quickly and think on their feet to provide person-centred support.
The service users at Lunedale Road have a learning disability; mental health needs; Autism and/or some challenging behaviour, experience is advantageous but not essential. The Service is provided in 3 bungalows to 5 adults aged between 18 and 72 years of age on a 1-1 basis.
You will have skills in positive communication and engagement and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support. You will have the confidence to be able to work within a positive behaviour support framework, to accept responsibility and to develop as a skilled practitioner. You must be able to follow agreed guidelines and to work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team ethos.
This post is a Maternity Cover for the Waking Night role that will cover 20 hours per week.
