Join a leading UK construction, infrastructure, and support services business working on major built environment projects. As Legal Counsel, you’ll play a key role in managing contractual risk, supporting high-value bids, and contributing to sustainable development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction & Contracts
*Provide legal support across the pre-construction lifecycle
*Review contracts, identify risks, and advise on mitigation strategies
*Support bid teams and senior stakeholders on contractual exposure
Disputes & Claims
*Assist with claims, adjudications, and dispute resolution
*Deliver clear legal advice, including risk and merits assessments
Governance & Risk
*Support legal governance frameworks and reporting
*Maintain accurate legal documentation and systems
*Contribute to risk management, lessons learned, and continuous improvement
About You
*Qualified solicitor (3+ PQE)
*Scots Law qualified (dual qualification advantageous)
*Experience in construction, infrastructure, or related sectors
*Strong across both contentious and non-contentious construction matters
*Commercial mindset with excellent stakeholder skills
